SHAKE IT, MOVE IT, DRIVEit
The UK’s only dedicated light commercial vehicle Show DRIVEit announces dates for 2015. DRIVEit will, once more, take place at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground, just south of Leicester on 7,8 and 9 July 2015.
“Last year’s inaugural Show was a success,” says event director Rob James. “The venue was superb and not just in terms of the facilities available to us, the location was ideal too with visitors prepared to travel, on average, 170 miles to attend the event.
“Over 95% of visitors achieved all of their objectives for the day and 93% said they would visit the 2015 Show. We had no hiccups, everything was smooth and exhibitors, together with visitors, went away happy.”
The revamped website, still at www.driveitat.com, goes live today with improved navigation, a fresh design and more professional approach. There is greater integration with social network feeds and this gives visitors many options for keeping in touch with Show news, exhibitor updates and general industry news.
Readers wishing to attend the event can register for free tickets once the registration opens on January 5th, but in the meantime can register interest and receive a reminder email once registration is open.
The exhibitor A-Z will retain details of last year’s exhibitors up until the end of January when the 2015 list will be announced. The first draft stand plans will be published on January 31st and will be drawn from stand applications received by then.
The driving course, including the Rough Terrain Centre and the 4×4 course were very popular; 90% of visitors polled thought the testing facilities provided a proper appraisal of the vehicles’ capabilities however, some said they would like to have seen more thorough testing including a handling and manoeuvrability course in order to try reversing aids, parking sensors and cameras too. We listened to the visitors and are introducing this feature to the drive test circuits for 2015.
The infrastructure at Bruntingthorpe will improve too with the completing of a new conference building located right in the heart of the Show Ground and more track being laid on the circuit.
DRIVEit is the only dedicated Light Commercial Vehicle exhibition in the UK. It caters for all companies, regardless of size, who operate light commercial vehicles.
